2-Day Tour
Day One
9:30am - Adena Mansion and Gardens Tour the home of Thomas Worthington displaying the story of Ohio’s early statehood. View the Educational Center, Gardens, Museum and Gift Shop!
11:30am - Lunch in the downtown historic district
12:30pm - Ross County Heritage Center A museum filled historical toys, fire equipment, Civil War and items of yesterday. Visit the Franklin House & Knoles Log House, all part of the Ross County Museum.
2:00pm - Pump House Center for the Arts Displays of art & sculptures in this Victorian Gothic building, once the Old Chillicothe Water Co. Stroll thru Yoctangee Park and visit the Bicentennial Memorial Gardens at your leisure.
3:00pm - Downtown Shopping Browse all the quaint shops located in our downtown filled with collectibles, gifts, and antiques.
4:30pm - Check into Hotel
6:00pm - Dinner Dine at one of our many restaurants Chillicothe has to offer.
Day Two
8:30am - Breakfast Enjoy at your hotel or one of our many restaurants.
9:30am - Hopewell Culture National Historical Park Museum exhibiting artifacts and a video of the “Legacy of the Mound Builders”. Tour the mounds and take home a Souvenir at the gift shop.
10:30am - Painted Valley Skyline Drive Drive to Bainbridge to view all the beautiful fall colors of the season.
12:00pm - Lunch at the Highlands Nature Sanctuary (7 caves) Hike the tour guided trails and view the scenery of the caves. Enjoy a boxed lunch in the picnic area.
2:00pm - Dr. John Harris Dental Museum Museum which features and displays the artifacts and Dental records & tools dating back to the early A.D. period.
3:00pm - Bainbridge Shops downtown Shop the quaint shops of downtown Bainbridge with a large selection of antiques, primitives and furniture. Save time for a visit to the Mennonite Community for all the homemade breads and sweet treats.
5:00pm - Dinner & Movie Enjoy dinner of your choice at one of our fine restaurants. Afterwards, take in a movie at the local DanBarry Cinemas.
